recipeknottywood

Ingredients (Makes 6–8 burgers):

  • 2 lbs Coleman’s ground pork
  • ½ cup finely diced onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup tbsp Knotty Rub (or your favorite BBQ rub)
  • ½ cup Panko bread crumbs (or more as needed)

Burger Toppings:

  • Toasted burger buns
  • Pickles, lettuce, tomato, red onion
  • Cheddar Cheese or Pepper Jack
  • BBQ sauce, mayo, or mustard

 Directions:

  1. Mix the Patties
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, diced onion, minced garlic, Knotty Rub, and Panko bread crumbs. Use your hands or a spoon to gently mix until thoroughly combined.
  2. Form Patties
Divide the mixture into 6–8 equal portions and form into patties, about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Preheat the Pellet Grill
Set your pellet grill to high heat (450–500°F). Let it preheat fully before placing any of the burgers on the grill.
  4. Grill & Sear
Place patties directly on the grill grates. Grill for about 4–5 minutes per side, flipping once, until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Make sure you get a nice sear on both sides of the burgers.

Assemble & Enjoy
Rest burgers briefly, then serve on toasted buns with your choice of toppings and sauces.
